The Kadota Fig Tree is a classic variety that has been cultivated for thousands of years. Originating in Asia, this fig tree was brought to California by Spanish missionaries in the 18th century. The Kadota figs are medium to large in size and have a pale greenish-yellow skin when ripe. The flesh is a vibrant amber color and has a mild, honey-like flavor. One notable characteristic of the Kadota fig is its ability to be dried, making it a popular choice for fig preserves and other culinary uses. The tree itself is medium-sized and has a spreading growth habit. With its versatile nature and delicious fruits, the Kadota Fig Tree is a staple in many gardens and orchards.
This fig does really well for us here in FL. It's not one of those super sexy highly talked about figs but an easy fun one to grow.
Seems to do well in the heat and humidity for us in the South. The trees we take cuttings from are all right here on our farm, propagated and vetted before we sell to the public. You will recieve a tree that varies in size of 15"-24" in height. They will come in a 3"x8" pot unless noted othewise.
