My mother tree came from cuttings via Brian (CajunB) and this is what he had to say about the fig.
 
"I obtained this fig in Parks Louisiana, this gentleman bought it from a former employee of LSU who worked with Dr.O'Rourke on the fig breeding program,he's recollection of this fig was that it was a very early fig and ripened in South Louisiana on mother's day and it was a favorite of LSU. It was very high on there list to be released to public,but the program was shut down due to lack of funds,If had to keep just one fig this would be the one.........." Fig Database.
 
Its a sweet tasting fig that handles heat and humidity great. Colors of the fig will vary depending on region.
We have the mother tree on our nursery premise which all the cuttings have come from. We root out all our own cuttings and vet the mother trees fully for fruit authenticity. The fig in the photo is from the actual tree our cuttings are taken from.
 
Our trees are rooted, grown and shipped in a 3"x8" tree pot. The total hight of the tree including pot will be between 15"-24".
